    The Telecommunications Industry Association is excited
    to be convening the GSC Machine-to-Machine Standardization Task Force’s (MSTF) first M2M Conference and Roundtable at the Georgia Tech Conference Center from September 20th to the 21st, with the assistance of both Numerex and the Georgia Tech Research Institute.

    If you want to understand why media worldwide can't stop reporting on “the M2M revolution” and its impact on all sectors of the economy, attend the global meeting on machine-to-machine (M2M). Organized by TIA in colloboration with Numerex and Georgia Tech Research Institute, this event will take place on September 20-21, 2011. Participation is free of charge.

    A wide range of experts will provide their perspective on the role and importance of M2M technologies and related standards in markets such as healthcare, supply chain, intelligent transportation, home automation, mobile payments, ATMs, vending machines, manufacturing and smart energy.

    The conference will be followed by a roundtable on M2M standards, which are critical to the industry expansion. Roundtable panelists from TIA, the International Telecommunication Union (ITU), the European Telecommunications Standards Institute (ETSI), the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA), the Zigbee Alliance, the Continua Health Alliance, and the 3rd Generation Partnership Project 2 (3GPP2) will share their organization's M2M-related standard work and offer comments and ideas on the direction of M2M standardization.


    The MSTF will provide attendees with valuable collaborative opportunities and technical insights into the area of M2M technology, from the perspectives of both standards developing organizations and industry experts.
