Can anyone tell me which carriers use which PIM test sets.

I think you will find that the carriers will endorse a few different brands but rely on the testing company to be the expert on the use and providing the service.

Okay, I guess you could say I am officially a believer. I still have not had the opportunity to play with an Anritsu unit in the field but I have been out there with the Summitek (now Kaelus) Range To Fault engineering unit. Still true that it does not eliminate the need for dynamic testing. It does, however, help you find and eliminate the static PIM sources faster. I agree with Anritsu's claimes that this will be a game changer! Here is a link to a whitepaper describing what RTF is and how you will be able to use this new capability in the field.

Exciting news from Kaelus today related to this thread! I agreed with Anritsu almost a year ago that this technology would change the industry and believe it even more today. The product just announced takes it a step further by allowing you to overlay distance to RL and distance to PIM faults on a single screen! RTF (as we are calling it) is a BIG time saver and you can even upgrade your existing test equipment to add it!

Plan on attending one of TESSCO's 2012 Regional PIM-RF Test Workshops, featuring presentations by Kaelus and Agilent.

These workshops will benefit wireless carriers, towers companies, contractors, installers, field technicians, construction managers, program managers and operations managers.
