Here's the problem... When these things go out of whack, they have the potential to create spurious interference across licensed bandwidth. If you've ever seen a Radio Shack powered FM receiver, yes RECEIVER, go bad, some put as much as 40dBs of interference, right across the 800MHz bandwidth (especially not a friend to single channeling systems like UMTS or LTE).
Now imagine 10,000 of these things in a city...

And what about grandma's pacemaker? I mean to generate a magnetic field with enough intensity to power anything seems like could cause serious problems with sensitive small signal devices.
But I could be wrong.
